In accordance with UK Gov restrictions we are currently unable to open the dojo. Our training programme for February and March continues to consist of live online Zoom sessions and Strava challenges for our members. We hope to return to the dojo in the coming months when permitted by Sport England and British Judo guidence. |
Bishops Stortford Judo

Bishops Stortford Judo is a member club of the British Judo Association, SportEngland Clubmark accredited and HMRC CASC registered.
Founded in 2002 by GB Olympian John Holliday, Bishops Stortford Judo has grown into a thriving community club with a reputation for developing national and international medallists. Catering for all levels and ages; ranging from teaching primary school age children fundamental skills to coaching players on international performance pathways. All of our coaches are BJA qualified, DBS checked and hold First Aid and Child Protection certificates. The club's lead coaches, Joe and Nicole Nunn, are both England Talent Programme coaches, former Great Britain international players and winners of the UK Children's Coach of the Year Award. We are located in the Herts & Essex Sports Centre. Our dojo is purpose built for judo; with a permanent 22 x 12m mat area, sprung floor, 50mm contest mats and a seated spectators area. The centre has changing rooms, showers and a social space with a kitchen and bar. Visitors and new starters are always welcome, taster sessions for beginners are FREE and are run on the first class nights of each month.
